Primary Responsibilities:

·         Assist in 5210 Get Up and Move Adams County Initiative.

·         Assist in community events promoting health department services.

·         Assist in All Our Kids (AOK) subcommittee projects and strategic planning.

·         Participate in Substance Abuse Coalition programming and meetings.

·      Complete and submit all necessary IPHA AmeriCorps paperwork and reports by pre-determined deadlines.

·      Attend all IPHA AmeriCorps trainings including orientation and team trainings.

·      Complete all IPHA AmeriCorps required National Days of Service projects.

·      Some local and out of town travel required.

Primary Responsibilities:

·        Assists with overall planning, development, implementation and maintenance of local health department emergency preparedness activities in accordance with the requirements of Illinois Department of Public Health Emergency Preparedness grant, local and state regulations and laws in Peoria County.

·        Assist in development of a Community Trauma Team and Animal Sheltering Team.

·        Assists with the development and implementation of community emergency preparedness response plans with emphasis on Damage Assessment, Direction and Control, Emergency Operations Coordination, and Resource Management.

·         Assists with the identification and development of PCCHD preparedness training with emphasis on the At-Risk Populations.

·         Assist in the development of a County Emergency Planning Coalition.

·         Develop protocols for the implementation, training and exercising of DispenseAssist.

·         Assist in development of plans for Continuity of Government and Community Recovery efforts.

·         Complete and submit all necessary IPHA AmeriCorps paperwork and reports by pre-determined deadlines.

·         Attend all IPHA AmeriCorps trainings including orientation and team trainings.

·         Complete all IPHA AmeriCorps required National Days of Service projects.

·         Some local and out of town travel required.

·         Conduct community outreach to promote a reduction in tobacco use.

·         Develop materials to be used in health education sessions provided to employees and community members.

·         Interact with community partners and members to address early childhood learning and development.

·         Partner with coalitions working in the community to improve environmental factors associated with chronic diseases and environmental health hazards.

·         Develop and assist with implementation of social marketing strategies to promote health in the community

·         Promote health equity in the community.

·         Participate in communicable disease response and/or emergency preparedness efforts as part of Kane County Health Department team.

·         Complete and submit all necessary IPHA AmeriCorps paperwork and reports by pre-determined deadlines.

Primary Responsibilities:

·         Plan, organize and conduct individual and group health education, referral programs and activities.

·         Plan, organize, and conduct community health education, outreach, promotion and marketing programs or campaigns.

·         Provide public health related oral presentations, written materials and social media for individuals and various community and professional groups.

·         Assist with community assessments as needed.

·         Provide technical assistance, support and consultation to area providers and agencies to enhance service coordination and program effectiveness for populations served.

·         Provide leadership and guidance to community, civic, and professional organizations through participation and development of meetings, conferences, special courses, and programs.

·         Attend trainings and meetings as needed and required by SCCHD.
